RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi, been lurking about for a short while before finally joining up , my names Mike and I have been drawn to r/c tanks after seeing a few in action on you tube .
Interested in all German armour and have not purchased a tank yet just looking not sure which make to go for the heng long seem very popular, have an initial budget of around £250 to start with and see where it goes from there .
Anyway hope to get all the info I need from you guys thanks

Welcome to the Forums. There is a lot of useful information posted here so I encourage you to read through the Builds sections. That will give you an idea on which direction to go in , in regards to which tank you want to start out with. Don't hesitate to ask questions. A lot of intelligent RC Tank guys here as well. Post pics of your new armor when you get it and above all. enjoy!

Welcome to the insanity. Considering most of what is out there is German armor, you will have plenty to choose from!

£250 is a good budget & should get you something very nice
your choice really depends on what you wish to do
i.e upgrade yourself if you like modeling, better electrics if you intend to i.r battle
or get 2 & just rip up your garden with a friend

Mike a very warm welcome to the Forum, you have been offered some good advise already, perhaps I might give some more? As everyone has said you will have a lot of questions, I would suggest you first look through all the sites and many of your questions will be answered right there, but if you still want to know more go to the GENERAL questions site and ask unless it is something specific then look for what comes nearest and type away, A new Tank, Before you buy check the BLACKLIST, it is there because many members of the Forum have been ripped off, cheated, been badly served or just plain robbed, look at these names and avoid them as though your pocketbook depended on it, and now the RECOMMENDED DEALERS, we buy from these people and you will be fairly treated, you can ask them questions and rely on their answers, although there is a proviso, do make sure that the listing is current as some have not been updated, Remember we are not here to challenge your approach to this hobby, goodness knows when I first saw ALPHA's work, whilst the skill was something to wonder at, his approach is shall I say diverse, and thank goodness for it, we will always give advise when asked but we will not tell what you must do, although if we can save you from what we know will be an expensive mistake we will let you know. enjoy this pass -time and do try to maintain friendly relations with your partner and bank manager, you will need both!!! shaun

Had a look at stockists and welsh models seems to crop up a lot for good reasons , anyway thinking along the lines of a Tiger mk1
