I would like to know if anyone would post pictures of ; HL bb firing, to servo recoil and flash. It may already be posted , but I haven't found it yet . Also, how does it connect to RX-18 ? Very interested in seeing this ! My hole collection needs this mod. By the way YHR, hooked me up w/ benedini tbs mini , took me alittle while hooking up right, but I've got one mean sounding Jagp.2 now ! Worth every penny! I can even rev up engine, or double clutcher ! I'm getting another for Sherman soon

You can't hook a servo to the RX18 but as you mentioned the benedini sound card from Dan i'm guess you've also got a DBC3. In which case you would have to connect the servo to the radio.
Flash if your using the Xenon flash version from memory you plug into the RX18 but cut the black wire (trigger signal) from the plug and have to collect that from the DBC directly.
Sorry my memory can't remember all the details, but I'm sure Dan will help you as he's surely asked these questions a lot.
Converting the BB into a recoil, not done it myself but believe cut bottom half off the BB and loose all the gears etc, extended the barrel or buy recoil version (longer inside turret) then with the extra length of barrel in the cut down airsoft attach servo and arm.

I'll use Clark board then for recoil ! I have one tank w/ Clk.22 + Bene. mini, this seems best combo to me! I don't fight em ,just like to watch em crawl ! Wonder who would have the barrel I need to convert to recoil in a HL Sherman, I would like to have longer barrel anyway, w/ muzzle break! MM

madman, I am just looking into converting a HL Sherman BB with Clark 22 to a servo recoil but apparently there are only few IR/recoil HL Sherman and then they stop making them. So if you want recoil you will need to mod the BB barrel which is what I am going to do, or find another barrel to sub in as I don't believe there are any 76mm recoiling barrel out there. I have use the Impact 17Pdr on the HL Sherman mantlet for the Firefly build, and I used a HL KT 88mm barrel for my Jackson build. They both has muzzle brakes.

madman,
I stand corrected. The stock BB barrel will work with servo recoil as long as you extend the barrel. The notch that I have been talking about is between the mantlet and the recoil unit so as long as you extend the backend of the barrel there is enough play even with the notch. Having said that, Tank Army does carry a HL stock recoil barrel for $17 AUS$.
Will try to post some pics once I have the servo recoil set-up if you are interested.

Tank Army link for the HL Sherman recoil barrel. It is basically the BB version without the notch and longer backend.

They are also on eBay as well. From down under.
I will be working on this tomorrow and will send pics when I am done.

Here you go MM....... Will post more pics later but this is the start. It would be much simply for you when you get the actual recoil barrel.
Original HL Sherman BB barrel:
Slide in connector to extend the barrel:
With the extender:
Complete barrel extended and connected to BB slider:
Full recoil position:
Normal barrel position prior to and after reocil:
There is a slot at the bottom of the BB barrel to lock it to the mantlet, so it can act as guide to remove rotational movement from the servo. I don't know if the stock recoiling barrel also has the slot, but you just have to be careful to line up the barrel properly when you install it, or simply sand out the slot in the mantlet. I am leaving it in and it causes any issue I will sand it out of the mantlet.
More pics later after installing the servo.
