I fitted Mato metal tracks to my jagdpanther [ heng long] unfortunately after very little use, the pins holding track links together work out every run. The pins are just a push in fit not a very satisfactory design. Can anyone recomend better metal tracks for my jagdpanther .

MATO tracks are usually good... I would say if the pins come out regularly.. when they do ... stop ... push it in till just before the knurled area put a drop of locktight or crazy glue ...then push it all the way back in... this should solve your problem

Good Luck

I second what alpha said, the only tracks I've had issues with are the kenny long long tiger tracks, they don't have any knurling on the pins.

I forgot to say.. A LITTLE DAB WILL DO YA.... this is very important.. too much and you might lock up the link... just go easy... :D

Just find a good spot ... and put her in a spin... both directions ... that should have loose pins popping out all over ...then just lock them up ;)

Oh have fun doing it too :D

Can anyone tell me if the standard HL metal tracks are the same for both the jagpanther and the panther g models?

I cannot get hold of stuff for the panther g unless it is the very expensive non-heng long stuff, and I don't have £60-odd quid for just a set of metal tracks without accompanying metal sprockets or idlers, yet I see jagpanther stuff for sale at reasonable prices all the time, so I thought if jagpanther gear is compatible I'd use that instead.

Also, it seems that HL Stugs are very thin on the ground here in the UK unless you want a Taigen/Mato or other modded version.
Similar with the panther g - no one seems interested in selling them as a simple sound/smoke with metal tracks upgrade in the same way I got my Tiger 1 from Howe's.

I have the same metal tracks for my Panther G and my Jadgpanther. As far as I can tell the lower hull is identical so you should be good.

Having looked at the gearboxes in my Tiger 1 and my Panther G, it looks like the gearboxs are identical too.
