Good Morning, CH,
Nothing is so bad that it cannot be fixed or in the extreme, replaced by another part. We are Enthusiasts!, that's what we do.
warm regards,
Painless

I agree with both shaun and Painless... it's a tank... it's your first dirty.... it can't be that bad... all you might need is a little dry brush here and there
so quick... CHOP CHOP... Pickies Please

Hi cannedheat.
Don't be too hasty in deciding that a particular work you have done messed up your tank or that it is now beyond saving. That often happened during my panther build. It's a good thing I am only able to work on my tank during weekends. What I would do when I feel I messed up a particular work is I'd stand back and let the tank sit until I get to work at it again the next week. When I come back to it,
1) I often find that it wasn't as bad as I imagined previously and that I can live with it,
2) it wasn't bad at all and that in fact I now I like it
or
3) Its still messed up but it was actually very much fixable.
So just relax as it might mean you just need a break from your build.
regards
Jeffrey

Re: messed up my idf
If its that bad you can't salvage the pain job you can always start over with a fresh base coat. How thick is the paint you've got on already?
Re: messed up my idf
I don't think it will stand another coat, a lot of detail will be lost, not so much the turret as the hull its a good job its the cast hull or it would be a waste ? the thing is its not air brushed I use tam/humbrol,toy soldier paint, its not that thin to start with, so if you get carried away you can put a ton on without much thought get me drift wot wot , I am now going to sit in a corner and face the wall and sulk before her in doors comes home

Strip the paint and start over......I have used oven cleaner spray before without any damage to the plastic. I have also used an automotive parts cleaner called "Purple Power". Its never completely a loss......also a hobby grade sand blaster could be used.
