Sweet area for a 'Tank Course'..... Might I suggest that the Job Number 1.... ' Keep the dog off '... is slightly more relevant to 'NUMBER 2's... rather than to number 1's though....
...a few 'logs' might be nice but
not if they come via the dog.....

.
.
Remove the grass... or cut it back to keep it very short.... possibly a contact weed killer where the roads are going to go... ( Once the dog cannot get in ) ...
You want roads, dips and a couple of hills and you
have to have a bridge... with 'railings' so that tanks cannot accidentally fall or climb over the side and risk getting damaged !!
.
Tunnel... constructed from a length of plastic pipe... buried underneath one of the 'Hills'.. don't make it too long so that a 'stuck' tank can be rescued and that it doesn't attract nesting hedgehogs or rodents.
( possible short length or rail way track curving from the tunnel and straight off the tank course... for a 'Kelly Heroes' style appearance !!
.
Sections of wooden fencing.... like lolly pop sticks.. split down their length & glued together... This way they CAN be driven over and flattened but not destroyed.. and so can be recycled by being stuck back in the ground !
.
Buildings... or a couple of wrecks....that can be moved around.... possibly just walls that have a couple of spikes sticking out the bottom to hold them upright.. but still allow them to be flattened by a tank..
.
The potential is truly
enormous....

Do those UPVC windows open ?? ...UPVC tend to open inwards............ So... Dare I say... ''Bridge from the window''... to the tank course... for the slightly too cold to go out doors days..
That way you can start and control from INSIDE the house in the warm with the windows closed...... A
' Tank Flap' in a window just MIGHT be pushing your luck a bit too far ......

I had already thought of that lol but it is going to be quite interesting to see how it comes out as I'm trying to make it a low maintain cue garden so as little green as possible maybe a quarry scenario ?.as for roads that's going to be the start point and see what plan I come up with once the top soils be taken off and the membrane is down

I don't think I can beat Dietrichs dollar worth of advice... but since you are mentioning a low maintenance field
why not try doing it up like Japanese rock garden
loose the tree... keep that hollow tile brick barrier... a few bags of blue rock or coral... and you should be set
but really right now your field looks like a portion of my torture test areas

...so to me it's fine... because I make sure all my tanks can function in those conditions.. including that brick barrier... were mine is a little higher... I can't tell you how cool it is to watch a tank traverse it ...hitting an almost 90 degree apex then slamming down on the other side
suffice to say... I don't follow the recommended operating surfaces HENG LONG suggests
Good luck and good building 2014 Horses
