stug 2 G light?

Hi Lads, soon to start work on a stug 3 G, have some parts coming form steve at dragon, also some from Germany, with reference to the head light, do I leave it where it is??? or cut it off, and add a nordek one in the middle of the hull at the front?, also any advive I parts I need to look at welcome ...thanks glen

glen, I think if you are doing an early one you should use the Notek, late version with the Bosch. As you can see in my other pics with the side skirt, I kept both.....

They are operational so I use the little BB switch to select them. Mine is IR anyway. The HL Stug comes with both, but only the Bosch one is operational witht he standard HL LED. You can keep the Notek mount and just replaced the top part to make it working Notek, also from WDM. (My Stug is basically a WDM Stug.......).

Thanks Michael, I looked at my other post first ...you seem to have given me the answer already here I think? so I need to buy or can keep the the light that's on the stug top body? and that's ok?

Hi glenny.
Looking at Muller and Zimmerman's pretty definitive two volume Sturmgeschutz III books it has to be just the centrally mounted Notek light every time. The fender mounted Bosch light is a legacy from the Heng Long panzer III and was not present on the Stugs from Ausf F onwards...

I have one for my own (much delayed) Stug project.
Can't recall who makes it but it came from Steve at Welsdragon - so look on his site.
