Hi, I have sent this to a couple of people in a PM in the past... so lets see if it can help you with the pictures....
.
I always use the windows 'Paint' program to reduce the size of my photos prior to posting ...usually to 70% in both vertical and horizontal..but I had to leave this at 100% or the writing became to small as it is a 'screen print' of my computer page ....

.
The red circle surrounds the 'Browse' box and the 'Add the file' box...... You browse to find the file that you want and then once you find the file and the image that you want you click on the Add the file box and the the tab at the top left hand corner of the screen will show 'connecting' and then a new box headed
' Posted Attachments' will appear under the message that you are writing.
.
Below that will be a heading file comment and then beneath that box will be the name of the image...and beneath that will be 2 boxes 'Place inline' and 'Delete file'
.
The Place inline allows you to put the cursor in a certain part of the text then where you leave it flashing, you then move your mouse down out of the message section and the ' Windows arrow' returns.....click on the Place inline box and that is where the image will appear in your message or post.Like this...Please just click on this image to make it larger, and you can see where I took the screen print as I was writing the message and how to access 'Paint' if you need to use it.

The Delete file simply deletes the image if you have accidentally uploaded the wrong one.
.
There is also the option to 'Preview' your post or PM before you submit it...This can be useful as sometimes the sentences can be arranged 'oddly' as the computer decides where all the words are going to be placed on the screen.
I hope that this helps...
