That's just a standard PzIII/IV commander's cupola so you can get a metal or plastic replacement very easily. I have couple of plastic ones lying around too and ship it top you if you paid the postage, but if you want metal you can get it from Forgebear or WDM.

Horses where is the extra "bit" ? I don't quite see it in the pics. Is it the rectangle piece in the 1st pic ?

Good Morning, Horses,
I am glad that TZ is fixing you up post haste. Your new tank should be a blast to run and enjoy. Did you get their metal 2.4GHz version? I drool over that one on a regular basis whenever I visit their website. Seeing your KV-2 and watching Alpha's work on his has me longing for next Spring. Nothing says "Season of Rebirth" like some massive Soviet armor. *chuckles*
Happy Holidays!

Hi HORSES... You bought a KV2? :haha: ....those hinges are actually pretty easy to fix... all you need is some HENG LONG plastic...some flush cut cutters... a drill ...an exato knife .. and some super glue...and just drill some holes ... enough to make three or four new hinges ...flush cut the four pieces into rectangles sized from the remaining one on the turret...the use the exacto knife to cut the plastic leading to the hole you drilled

to install the hatch... just glue one side first... then the other making sure you don't get any on the hatch... so go light with the glue on the second side... before giving it a good healthy following drop

I did this repair on my PANZER III...came out looking perfectly stock

Yes painless it's the metal 2.4ghz version and thanks Alpha they are sending me a metal replacement out painted, but that was the good news the bad news was I had my new Pershing at work last night just to give it the once over but disaster it fell out my van this morning after my night shift and the road took its toll so after a cuppa in tears my other half came down before work and as I looked so sad said well you can always get another and a panzer III for company for it, now a happy bunny :D

Good Morning Horses,
That is bad news and I am sorry to hear it. It is good that you can get another tho'. Is the Pershing salvageable (mostly cosmetic damage)? There are a ton of parts available and those are some tough tanks. If nothing else, you have a lot of ready to go spares so do not bin it.
