Hi all

My Heng Long Tiger 1 is my first RC tank and I'm having a bit of a problem.

I got carried away with the weathering.....I took it apart: turret off, wheels off, (new brass gear boxes fitted whilst i was at it- basically if it could come apart I took it apart to add plaster of paris mud effects, zimmerite (hand made) and all the usual stuff. Whilst having great fun doing this, I didnt pay much attention to the wires that came off here and there.

I thought it might be a case of fault finding- getting it started and work out what did what that way. The problem is when I push the start key on the transmitter NOTHING happens at all. I have replaced the battery and charger, and the transmitter.....
The tank is missing the arial for sure but I dont think thats the problem.

Any ideas out there??

hi ok if your tank is all wired up right then look at the crystals in the tank it should be an rx crystall in the tank and an tx crystal in the hand set make sure that they sit in the holes to make a good contact
if your lights still flash and the tank wont go then it could be a broken crystal hope this helps dave

hi there, it could be that if you have no aerial fitted on the tank its not picking up the signal from the tx, try it with the aerial fitted on the tank and your tx would be my next move. Hope this helps.

by the way i see you have an intruder , i ride a 1986.. vs700 trike, american import to the uk before being converted to a trike. keep your shiny side up and ya rubber on the road.
