I was wondering if anyone is using a 72mhz Jr Radio with their Henglong tanks? Does anyone know the channel assignment on the henglong board by chance? Thanks in advance.

Hello Palepainter.... I've been thinking about it as I have a six channel FUTABA laying around somewhere...as far as I know ... if you want to use that 72 mhz...you will have to find a corresponding board to match it...usually a black box should have been included with the transmitter

I don't think you can merge any of the standard HENG LONG electricals with that unit you have... as usually tanks are on a totally different frequency 27 to 47 ..something like that 48 to 72 are usually for aircraft or boats

I was able to take the freq chip out of the Henglong and put it into the JR. What you are saying is the the HL receiver will not take the signal from the JR radio. I suppose if it gets more complicated than changing the chip out in the radio, it will be best to set it ip to one of my Tactic 2.4s.

This para was taken from another post from Tankbear, there has been many posts on this subject.

"The Jr Radio receiver will not send the correct signals to the RX18 so it isn’t that simply. However there are some devices which sit between the Jr Radio receiver and the RX18 which translate the signal so it all works.

Options I’m aware of are
RC2HL (think this has now been superseded to RC5HL) from RC Tank Australia.
IPI4HL (Think from RC.tank.DE)
DBC2 or DBC3 (from Dan YHR)"

Yeah... it's the start up board that's the problem... but I think Dr. Phil covered the details in the above post...Phil is a wizard with HENG LONGs...

Thanks fellas. I used the search function with JR and nothing came up. I appreciate the help. I even tried Jr Radio and got nothing.
