Hi guys, i'm mainly a Sci-Fi modeller and artist, dabbled with 1/35 German Armour kits in my youth.
very new to RC tanks but have a few Tamiya cars, always wanted a big scale RC tank but could never afford them.
just picked up a Heng Long Pz III and have to say i'm quite impressed with it out of the box going to enjoy detailing and painting it into something more scale and looking forward to picking up hints and tips from you all thanks loads in advance Ian/strontydog75.

Hello Strongdog75

Can't wait to see what you can do with a tank...you must have loads of left over fiber optics and things from sci fi modelling

Panzer III is a great tank.... just watch the track tension if you have metal tracks...about 24 dollars US on Ebay.... it's the best investment I made on my tanks :D

Welcome... Enjoy the experience

Thanks guys looking forward to making a start on the PZ III going to make it into a tank of the DAK in Tunisia 1943 just before they were kicked out of Africa so going to make it really beat up and battered, got the 1/16 Tamiya DAK tanker to use as my commander too :D

Hallo Ian, Welcome to the forum, lots to see and as you are planning to build a DAK Panzer 111 you will be building one of the best researched Tanks of the German armed forces in WW11, there is a fair bit on the tank in the reference site plus some nice camo schemes if you go to painting and weathering, a reminder should you need it, go to GOOGLE there is stacks of information to be found on its pages, I would strongly recommend Steve at Welsh Dragon Models and Dave Forgebear for upgrades to the Panzer 111, you don't need me to tell you to enjoy this hobby for it is plain to see that you already do, By the way Steve sells Peddinghaus decals which include a lot of detail for DAK armour. shaun
