Re: Roll call
Hi Frank,
I have just been invited to join even though I haven't quite finished my ride just yet.
I note that there are several people with the same numbered tank, several interpretations of the same one I presume. So how do you suggest I choose a number cos I haven't modelled mine on any particular Tiger.
Thanks for the invite, I take it as a compliment and accept.......hope I don't have to buy all previous and existing members a pint?????
Photo of the beast attached for you to view and perhaps suggest a number as I haven't a clue how to choose.
I hope to see a few good fotos posted this week as there will be some snow to play around in.
Have a good weekend.........Mike

Re: Roll call
I was considering doing 007, but that seems to be as popular as 205. I think I'll do 212, assuming I can find decals...
Here's a good list of tanks of the Division:
http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... _050-4.htm
You have the older style wheels "rubber rims" on yours, so 1st company / 3rd platoon (131 to 134) or 3rd company would be suitable

Re: Roll call
Hello, guys, my tiger is going to be 007, but mine will have the correct wecohe aerial etc and will be fully converted to late spec, not like some, "mid" 007s ive seen.
All the best,
Alex

Re:101st
Having checked the info on the 101st, I cant find a Tiger as early as mine, I have rubber tyres and the two headlights as per HL standard and cant find one on record as being that early on the Regiment records.
Does this mean I am going to be drummed out of the Regiment this early in my career....... or can I join as an old fogie tank????
If I am accepted (twin headlights and all) where do I get the front plate logo.....or do I do a Rolf Harris and apply paint to armour?
Yours in anticipation........ Mick von Tiger

Re: Roll call
Mike,
Peddinghaus do decals for 101st Tigers, see Andy (MilitaryMight) or RCtank.de.
Tiger 323 has the earlier binociular site and one light mounted on the left hull top - its close enough for starters.
If later you decided to replace the cupola with the correct later cast version, its easy enough to rip off the other headlamp and fill it in - I'll leave it to with the electrical wizzes here as to whether you need to add a resistor in its place tho.
(I'm going to be doing the same with my Tiger - anybody know if I need to do this, and if so how much resistance? Thanks!)
