Hello all,
im very new in RC tanks 1/16. My nephew have an old skool Henglong King tiger with TK01 Board. i'm ask him to this and that, but he doesn't understand. so far he just playing at his room

, since now he's been busy with his accountant works

. a good way to borrow and paid by me and its works!

.
So im planning upgrade to TK22 And 2.4ghz Transmitter.
- Is it OK upgrade TK01 to Clark TK22? How about the barrel recoil? is it run smooth? (since old skool TK01 Doesnt have recoil system)
- Are TK22 Bind with Turnigy 6x?
thanks,
Jimm

Jimm,
When you said old skool KT, do you mean the one from Heng Feng/Matarro with the Production turret and the molded on zims ? I just converted mine to TK-22 with recoil. I originally had converted to RX-18, then Taigen 2.4Ghz with MAKO and then TK-22 with servo recoil. The recoil is not very straight forward as the mantlet and the barrel is all attached in one piece, so you basically have to destroy the mantlet to take the barrel out. I was lucky I had some extra parts of a Tamiya KT turret so I used that mantlet instead.
Anyway, if is the same one I can post some videos for you.

Jimm,
You will need a new radio with the RX-18. I don't remember getting the old KT board to work with the Heng Long radio.

Jimm,
Here you go....... Sorry about the delay, but here is my Heng Feng/Matarro KT, with the latest Clark TK-22 board (Supposedly with the Bovington Tiger sound), Tamiya metal barrel and muzzle brake with HiTec HS-311 micro servo recoil.

Jimm,
Just check out the wiring diagram on the RX-18 and you just have to map them out from the TK-01......... Don't think there is a guide per sa.

This is the closest to a guide I can find
http://www.tankzone.co.uk/pages/hl_upgrade_rx.htm but really you need to start from scratch as the TK01 is soldered to every component and the RX18 is all plug in so none of your parts will have the plugs fitted
