Heng Long User Manual Review

After I posted details of my new Heng Long Leopard tank on this forum I was asked to do a review of the manual, so here it is.

First up I will point out when I got my first Heng Long tank 2 ½ years ago was the only time I looked at the Heng Long manual. Most people will know that the translation was poor and often didn’t make sense. Plus all Heng Long tanks work same way so once you figured it out that was it.

So trying to make a comparison against previous manuals and the latest version isn’t really possible, so instead I try doing a narrative on the new version.

First up I would say Heng Long have put a bit more effect into it, got additional information like a half page description of the real tank to give you background and history. Numerous pages detailing all the upgrade or replacement parts available in general and tank specific.

The actual user instruction is a bit better explained i.e. duration of recharging the battery, etc.

Although the manual did cover both the older FM & crystals and the newer 2.4Ghz radios I felt the information was still biased towards the FM radio and little on the 2.4Ghz radio.

The translation to English isn’t brilliant but with the diagrams etc I think it is easy to understand what is trying to be said.

Hopefully I’ve covered most items there but if any one has questions please ask.

Ian.

Good Morning,
Thank you, Tankbear. I agree, Heng Long has been stepping it up in all aspects lately, including their paperwork.
