After some time in boxes and all moving to a new place.....I am getting my Tiger
back in the game......but now I have lost all all functions on the C9 - 8 pin ( upper Hull )

No MG flash, head light and NO TURRET MOVEMENT.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

Its on the bench....out of the Tank...so its bare bones....no shorts or problems.
I tried switching the 2 n 3 jumpers.

My green Range and Bind light is staying in the ON position....is that normal?

I am using the slightly older DX6 ( non i ) model.

I'm not certain about that radio combination so don't know about the binding light staying on.

Do you have any controls or sound from the TK22? If not it could suggest radio connection problems.

I have all sounds and lower actions, both motors, main gun flash and servos = recoil and elev.

In my desperate search to turn off the Tank Hull Recoil " surround " button, using
every Sony remote I can find for a few cents at local thrift shops .....I may have inadvertently
turned off all upper Hull options on the C-9 - 8 pin plug.

"IF" I did just that....I wonder if by using one of the two 'proper' Sony Remotes
and by hitting the "ENTER" button to reset to factory settings on the TK22 ...
I wonder if that would fix it?

OH SNAP :/

I didn't know you could turn off the cn9 plug using the remote interface but I guess you might of found a hidden option and switched it off.

I try a master reset and a fully charged battery and if that doesn't work contacting Clark to see if he knows how to reactivate

Have you switched it to servo recoil and elevation, and is the plug in the right way around?

..and is it on airsoft or IR ?

The Barrel and Recoil servo's are working as they should and no its not its not air soft or Battle IR
but I do have the IR receiver and led set up for Sony remote programming.

Just to clarify, was the board working ok before ?

I am not aware of any remote control setting that will disable the turret rotation or machine gun, the only options are to change the IR type between HL and Tamiya, or to have an IR machine gun (on a soft skinned vehicle).

I am pretty certain that the Bergpanther option doesn't affect the turret, but it is a possibility.

I am assuming that you have removed the jumper after programming, I only ask as I have left it in myself and found it doing some odd things.

Assuming that everything else is correct, this narrows it down to the 8 pin plug.

Turret rotation can fail due to loose wires on either the plug or the motor.
Same goes for machine gun.
If you are using servo elevation and recoil, are the original wires removed, eg no bare ends touching anything?

If all of this is ok, then the only way to get to the root of the problem is to use a multimeter to check the voltage going through the relevant contacts on the 8 pin socket, plug, and motor ends of the wires.

If there is no power getting to the 8 pin socket then your only option is to return it to Clark for repair, he is pretty good, the postage is cheap too.

Tank you for the replies gang! :-)

Yes it all worked before. The board is out of the tank and on the bench a fresh MG LED is plugged
into the correct pins 1 and 3 and a fresh 4V hobby motor is plugged into pins 7 & 8.....same with head light
.....NADDA :-(

I asked Clark Models from my Face Book about this same thing....have not been there to see if there is any response.
