HL-Tiger front plate failures

Hi guys,
today you are going to modify the Tigers front plate.
At the front plate there are two components that need to be worked on.
1. Radio operator’s machinegun.

Normally the gun is mounted in a ball cover plate.
That is to make the gun movable in all directions. And it definitive looks not even like the HL one.
Therefore we need to replace it.
2. Drivers sight plate.

This one can be closed or opened by the driver from the inside.
To drive the tank, of course, it has to be open.
The HL one is closed.
The easiest way to open it is to replace it.
Well, lets start.
First remove the front plate.
But be careful, it is glued.

It makes the work much easier by removing the plate.
Especially when replacing the drivers sight plate.

Now we replace the machinegun.
Remove it including the mount.
Now you have two possibilities.
You can take a solid gun from a supplier like this one.
Just glue it to the ball mount.

Or you can take another version with light and a separate ball cover plate.
Glue the plate into the mount and push the gun through from its back.

Than we can remove the drivers sight plate.
Do it carefully as you can see in the picture on the right edge.

Take the new sight and glue it to the plate.
You can adjust the visible slit individually
Those sights are available in plastic or metal from different suppliers.

At last glue the front plate back to the hull.
Greetings
