HL-Tiger tow shackles

Hi guys,
with this thread you are going to modify the tow shackles.
On the following picture you see the shackles mounted to the Tiger.
Why should we modify or replace them?
Well first of all they are just stuck to the chassis.
They are the first components getting lost by falling or ripping off by using the tank outside on ground.
Therefore we need a pin going through.
And if we use a pin, it should at least look a little bit like the original ones.
So we use hexagonal m2 screws and nuts.
Prepare the shackle as shown and drill a 2mm hole through.
Now we mount the shackle by using the screw.
Make sure, that the head of the screw is at the outside, track side.
Cut of the screw directly behind the nut.
At last two pictures of the mounted shackles.
Do you have other options? Yes, of course!
- you can by metal ones already prepared with screws.
- you can glue the originals to the chassis.
- you just can leave them off.
So do whatever you want.
