can i look back now ? I like the desert effect but i would have left it at that (as you have the early wheels on it !). Is that your 1st attempt at spraying ? It does take a while to get into the swing of it, and i'm still no expert. But we are all still learning !Also why not use the webbing around the gun to cover the exhaust pipes ? I have some material i can send to do that job ! (see my tiger's rear oo-err ! I do like the tracks;are they metal ?

Good Morning Mr. Heat,
I'm not a purist by any definition. I've got my own comfort level. Your Tiger looks great! ;o) The late tracks are nice and beefy. I'll bet by the end there that the Germans were pressing anything with a gun and tracks into service.

hi painless old chap wot wot
hi doc old chap wot wot
,I believe that tigers were modified in field as and when I,m sure they even put early stuff on late back end of the war to keep stuff running so to speak vice versa ? not sure on camo scheme but I think its something like ,nor the markings but I like it
I have sprayed a few tanks but the trouble is I go o.t.t. and end up spoiling them ,and to much over spray its hard with the cans ? this tank had metal suspention arms and metal wheels but it was heavy to heavy to dam heavy now bog std suspention /wheels , runs like a treat not a wallowing hippo it was before .metal gears ,front sprockets .tracks. wot wot ..

Hi Cannedheat,
yes all tanks get modified in field but i was pointing out what you have done on the tank.the tiger (as you know) 1st appeared in north africa. our (allies) 1st look at it came from there when one was abandoned by its' crew after an engagement with brit matildas/crusaders.you have desert camo, early wheels and early cupola and no zimmerit or anti mine meshing, suggesting it's AK ! Are you using an airbrush or cans ? don't be worried about ruining the tank ! try painting/spraying on a piece of paper before firing paint onto the tank. Why not you tube and find something on airbrushing. If you are not into the historic merit of your tigger then forget all of the above ! Funny you took all the stuff off as thats all the stuff i want for my tigger but cant afford. I really want a t34/76 next cos i have a very special paint job for it.
all the best doc.

Good Afternoon Mr. Heat,
Is that Tiger the Taigen all metal one? I'm jealous! You say it came too heavy for the suspension installed on it? Were those not the heavy duty springs? It's on my short list to get one, maybe by the Holidays. Still need to work that new Sherman into the fold.

old chap,
not a metal hull a bog std hl hull with metal arms and wheels/axles, metal tracks to heavy it needed stronger springs it used to bottom out,
but it kept loosing its track in reverse, the rubber tyres acted like a breaks and when you let joy stick back it came to a abrupt holt so don't recommend this mod without stronger springs to make its ride hight more correct,? you will need the asiatam/taigen hull it will be much better way to go but it will still be very heavy, the metal early wheels are a weight in themselves .wot wot

The Tiger's first appearance was with s.Pz.Abt.502 near Leningrad, on 22 September 1942. The first captured Tiger was taken by the Russians on 18 January 1943.
