My 30 year old compressor has finally had enough, I am thinking of buying a can of airbrush propellant for my airbrush but as I have never used one is there any thing I should look out for or is the whole idea a non starter and I should get another compressor? shaun

Get another compressor, the can's cost a fortune and don't last that long. Also you can't regulate the pressure, that is unless you have a mag valve on the airbrush then you don't know what pressure your spraying at.

Through stupidity and old age I have managed to post this plea twice, and everyone who has been kind enough to reply have all said the same thing so I shall spend the day trawling through E-BAY, thank you Thunderbolt for the helpful advice. shaun

Try Machine Mart they usually have a customer returns section at the back of the shop,I got a 50l tank one a lot cheaper than new & all it needed was a new drain valve ( took it off my old compressor).
