Saw one on eBay the other day and wasn't sure if it was the real deal. Has a HL style controller that is labelled 2.4Ghz with the buttons so I was a little skeptical but then my supplier confirmed today that he will be getting it in a month but with plastic tracks only. Metal track version will be a separate edition. He told me that it is HL brand, and it is a 2.4Ghz system but DIFFERENT than the Taigens. Oh well.

Yeah its true the HL leopard is 2.4ghz and out soon.
Ive ordered one from forgebear should have it end of this month. I'm not fussed for the HL controls so buying it without electronics so I wont be able to comment on the new electronics.
Ian.

Interested in this, I have a complete Leopard 2A6 SLU sitting in my spares box, which I was wondering what to do with.

I'm getting mine from forgebear and he had another one when I spoke to Dave yesterday
I'm guessing it will be same as the ZTZ99 tank so I already know what will probably need fixing first.

Got to be said that my ZTZ ran ok, no problems with the running gear at all, even when it was powered by Permax 480's. I did stick low ratio gearboxes in it but that was not a brilliant idea, I now put HL plastic boxes in my new builds and use plastic tracks, the weight reduction allows them to run on grass, and its a lot cheaper than all the expensive mods that actually do more harm than good.
I reckon that if the suspension was softer it would glide more like a Tamiya, but that was only gripe. Oh and replacing the turret motor for faster rotation.

Just a heads up that there are a few leopards on YouTube, some standard, some with Clark boards, and even with 480 motors fitted. It's looking pretty good so far.
