The old RX13 in my Tiger seems to be giving up the ghost,so I've been thinking about
swapping it for an RX18.

A few months ago,a complete RX18 & wiring was around £15-£20 on E-bay UK,but now the cheapest is
£38,the dearest is some joker wanting £117.50 plus postage

Have HL prices shot up that much of late?

There is couple of used ones for sale in this forum is you are interested and it is much much less than retail.

why don't you use to opertunity to upgrade to a Clarke board or one of Ivanos new boards then youll be able to battle against all comers too, variable speeds better sounds etc
