heng long top hull recoil

Hi could someone please help me before i smash this tank into a million pieces.Bought the full top hull recoil for my HL tiger 1 tank.The only thing that works are the lights and the flash in the end of the gun every time i turn it on .Fitted a new receiver board and crystals sometimes the gun will move a bit every time i turn the main switch on the battery is fully charged thanks Dave.

Hi Dave any chance of a couple of pictures so that we could see how things are wired up, what is plugged into where etc. I think it is very difficult to tell what is going on without.

Hi Dave.

Could you plug the hull top and 8 wire connector into another of your tanks which does work (don't worry about the extra red wire or the IR or flash for now)

Because if you can you be able to verify that the hull top is working. And therefore eleminate that as been the problem.

Hi ian just tried 8 plug in to another tank and all it does is move once a little bit every time. I switch the main switch on it done the same thing on the other one plus the the barrel flash on the other tank.

Hi Dave.

If the hull top is doing the same on two different tanks it is looking to be that which could be faulty. Normally when you first switch on the power there shouldn’t be any power going to the motors in the turret top, just the flashing headlights.

You probably best contacting Steve @ Welsh Dragon Models and explaining it doesn’t work and you’ve tried the hull top on another tank and still doesn’t work.

Or could you bring it to Hyde (Manchester) this Sunday? A few of us meet up so if you could bring along I could have a look at it for you.

Hi ian its the same hull just two different tank tops the recoil one flashes and the turret will move every time just a little when switched on and the other bb one just moves a little as well.It would be good to meet up in manchester ive i can give me the address and time just in case i can make it thanks mate.

I meant could you try the Tiger hull top on a known working tank.

Will do mate these tanks are more trouble than there worth should have just stook to painting them ha ha thanks again .

Agree can do your head in when you can't figure out the electrics.
