July 4th 1776 remembered today

237 YEARS AGO a small group of people considering the future announced the founding of a new Republic.
Notifying the largest most powerful Military empire on Earth at the time,and the empire where many of the 56 men who would sign the document over the next 7 months were born. Of their declaration of Independence from British Rule,and so admitting treason against King George III.
By January 22 1777 all 56 had managed to sign,the nation endured,Britain did as well.
Within another century these two Nations would become great allies,a situation that has endured even today.
As we celebrate the 4th today here in America, God bless America. God save the queen. And may our two Nations continue to represent the best Nations of free men can demonstrate to a troubled world.
I ask everyone to consider our troops away from Home,fighting for Freedom from tyranny still. But together this time in common purpose. Yanks and Brits again together against evil.
