Hiya folks.

As per the title really. How do you get the things off?? I can see they are in two parts, but I can't a way into the axle screw.

I presume you have to remove the hub cover some how. The wheels are metal by the way.

Good Afternoon.
The hub will be plastic and is usually a press-fit but may be glued. I ruined a set while doing the Idler wheel tensioner install on my HL KT and was able to get a replacement set from the great Phil Pflueger who has since left us for greener climes. I would try a drop of Superglue remover on the edge of the hub then lever up carefully with a very flat blade. 'Gently' will be the byword. Good Luck.

Mine are metal but there is no separate hub, the wheel itself splits in two.Do you have a metal lower hull.

I'm putting them onto a metal lower. Looking at the damage I have done to the caps, they are metal!

How do you split the wheel? This is black magic!

KYE, Have you tried a debonder, when I cannot see an obvious way of separating wheels and other bits I use ZAP Z7 DEBONDER, it is pretty good stuff but do make sure you clean all round when your done, other debonders are out there but they seem to be for getting super glue off your hands. I buy mine from a local hobby store but you will probably find it on line, believe me for the incompetent like me it is a Godsend. shaun

Can you see a seam line in the center of the large two wheels, if so can you get a wood chisel in there and pry them apart.HS alert becareful
