Bought a rare junker on Ebay!

Post by Ex_Pat_Tanker »

Well here she is: Looks like a Soviet T10, sadly not 1/16th tho, the add says over 12", the T10 would be nearer 18" - probably closer to 1/25th scale (wish I would have done the math before I bid :-[ >:( )
Not bad for $35 delivered, running gear needs some remedial work - I can see me getting a mate of mine to turn down some replacement wheels from nylon stock, tracks are going to be a pain if they are rubber tho!
More to follow when i get her home... (so to speak ;D )

heres a kit that some of you older guys might know, its the motorized tamiya tiger II as you can see there was no political correctness back then judging by the swastikas on the box and the labels....... :P

Yeah the Japannese aren't squimish about that kind of thing, thats probably a kit intended for the asian market. Swastikas are illegal in Germany, thats why no video game has them, and Peddinghaus makes them a 2 part kit in their decal sets.

Hi Larry,
No ideas, I'll have to wait until I rip it apart! Obscure eastern european or possibly RadioShack would be my guess...

Hello mart,
I was thinking it may have been a Tyco--I bought one of those on E-bay just for my collection. It still works but there was no radio with it.It is actually a kind of neat tank and is well made for what it most likely cost at the time they were being sold.A poor replication of any specific tank but it is still kind of a cute tank.Glad I bought it and it was cheap.
