Pride alone demands that I post this clip of my two boys who were on BBC Breakfast News yesterday.

This was filmed in my local park here in North West London after the Beeb asked to interview any children who still played war games.

Apparently his dad thinks it's perfectly 'all right' for them to run around with guns..!

I should point out that my oldest boy might just have easily have turned up dressed as a US para or British commando.

The exhibition is well worth a visit for anyone in or near London.

Personally I think that the so called 'Modern World' which is riddled with 'political correctness' is just mad and stupid.( Especially having worked for a government body that was crazy for PC ! )
.
I can see nothing wrong with playing with guns, the children are outside, running around having fun and getting exercise !..far better than sitting on a couch playing video games which do actually contain 'killing' even the Wii Lego Star wars game that my son seems to be addicted to at the moment. He loved playing on his pedal cycle for hours but now he has got into this bloomin video game he has not looked at his bike for over 10 days :(
We are going to buy a timer ( so that it can be set for an hour and he can see that an hour HAS passed ) and limit his time on the game......to try and get him back outside and running around instead of getting angry when he fails to make a jump or dies !!!
Alb.
P.S. He is NOT getting any guns that actually shoot any pellets or projectiles though !.... at the moment he cannot be trusted so ' No' seems to mean ' Yes' and he would probably shoot me or the dogs.... :haha:

I always had lots of fun with guns, swords and shields and toy soldiers when I was a kid. See nothing wrong with it.
