Servo recoil question

Hi all,

Just a quick question about servo recoil. If I replaced the HL recoil mechanism with a servo recoil, I would still need to keep the micro-switch and the "firing pin" so that the firing sound and the flash will still be triggered, right ? All that I am replacing really, is the recoil motor and the spring with the servo, is that right ?

I am putting this in for a clark board so perhaps the clark board knows when to produce the sound and the flash without the microswitch ? It will be curious to know if it makes a different with RC2HL since the Taigen MFU is still there.

Mike.

Michael,
If your using the servo with the Clark Board NO you do not need those micro switches/Relays. The Clark board will fire the sound and flash at the appropriate timing.

If your putting a servo recoil in with the Taigen or HL system then you must have the micro switches and relays as that is the trigger for both the sound and flash.

I am ripping open my Pershing which has the clark board so this makes it simple. I just need to make the big "cut". I don't have any RC2HL so any servo recoil would be for the clark board.

I wasn't aware the Pershing was available with a recoil action. Do post pics please.
