geman tank communication

geman tank communication

Guys,

i know they used throat mics etc, but how did they communicate with the grenadiers outside ? did they have the telephone handle connected to the tank like the sherman ? or did the sherman get that in korea ?

I think the phone thing is only for Korea. I know that one of the things to convert the HL Pershing to WWII is to remove the phone at the back as they weren't equip with them then. Pershing being a new tank doesn't have it I doubt that Shermans has it.

I thought the Germans use the turret side/back hatch and pistol port for comm with riders.
