Jagdpanther at Duxford

I visited the Duxford Imperial War Museum at the weekend as its just an hours drive from me . And I was surprised to see the Jagdpanther from the Imperial War Museum (London) there .Ive not been for a few years . I went for a day out with my son but also to photograph the Goliath Sdkfz302 for a little project Im thinking on . Im actually going back this coming Sunday as I have been given permission to measure up the Goliath , supervised :) shame I cant measure up the Jagdpanther he he.

The Jag has been shifted while they rebuild the Lambeth (London) museum. Duxford has a wonderful selection of MVs - not just planes. A good day to visit is the Military Vehicle show in June on Father's Day. I take my boys there every year.

The Jag also has authentic battle damage - not the viewing hole cut in the side! There are several AP penetrations on the other side and you can see where the rounds bounced around inside. Nasty...

Yes there is plenty of afvs and other items at Duxford .Like its mentioned the Jagdpanther is on loan .But they have other afvs and artilary inc two 88 guns 20 mm flak gun nebelwerfer . I will post som pics tonight its worth a visit.
