Hello all

I'm looking at getting a Clark board and have a couple of questions.

1.) Can the controls be configured to the users liking or are they set? I don't like how the movement controls are spread across the channels. I prefer having turret controls on one stick and tank movement on the other, rather than mixed as they appear to be.

2.) I'll be using it in an airsoft tank, but want to change some of the settings. Do I need to buy the IR gear on top of the remote to make the changes? Or can the board pick up signal from the remote without it?

3.) Can I adjust the proportional speeds to suit the weight of the tank. I have a King Tiger and a Panzer IV that I wish to use Clarks in. The two are clearly going to have different speeds and I'd like to replicate those through the boards.

4.) Does the simulated reload time affect when the airsoft motor can be operated again? Will the reload sounds have to be completed before the airsoft fires again?

5.) Can the default Taigen 2.4ghz controller be used with said board or will I need to find a new controller?

1, the controls on the clark board are only configurable by how you plug them in.
the movement is all on one stick & everything else is on the other.
it's up to you which stick you use for movement.
2, yes you will need a battle unit to make any adjustments.
i have 2 clark boards, both with airsoft but unfortunatley i cant get them to work right.
i'm sure it's me & not clark's fault though ( are you reading this tankbear? )
3, the clark board is totally proportional ( turret speed as well )
but i'm not sure how you would adjust the top speed other than putting in a lower ratio gearbox
or putting a stop on the transmitter.
4, no you don't have to wait for the reload sound to finnish before you fire again.
5, i really doubt it, because i think the reciever is part of the main board.
mine is glued down & i'm not prepared to take it off till it's broken.
As a comparison between the two boards, the clark board pisses all over the taigen one,
being extreemley flexable with much better sound & proper proportional movement of the tank & the turret functions.
i'm sure i'll get there with my airsoft problem & when i do will buy more clark boards.
i use a spektrum dx6i transmitter which has a memory for 10 different models. i got it on ebay for £50 2nd hand.
with orange receivers, which are about £7 a pop.
there is a list on the clark website about which transmitters will work.

Just to add to lister's comment, the clark board has settings for airsoft so you don't need to get IR for it to work. There is no setting of speed by class, so the same power will goto the motor independent of the tank class.

As mentioned at another post, I am pretty you cannot configure the taigen controller for the clark board as it id customized to the taigen mfu. You will need to buy a hobby grade radio and receiver for sure. The clark board does not come with a receiver.

If you goto clark website it gives you a pretty good idea what you can adjust.
