what is sherman vvss suspension?

i have no idea what vvss suspension is. can anyone help me out with this question? it seems that it will be better than tamiyas suspension but why.

The Tamiya tanks are HVSS which is the latter type suspension came in late in WWII the VVSS is the early type suspension more commonly seen in WWII and was unique to things like Grant, Firefly, M10/M36 and so on hence the excitement

here are two pictures to show the two type of Sherman suspension
the first is HVSS horizontal volute spring suspension (later type) and the second is VVSS vertical volute spring suspension (earlier type)

A volute spring is cone shaped and compresses in on itself not touching the other coils. They can carry a lot of weight and is why they were used on tanks.
The HVSS suspension with the wider track is a better suspension but does not represent the majority of Shermans and their variants that served in WW2 and beyond.
