Hi guys I need your help......

As I mentioned in my intro post I have a Taigen Tiger from Nitrotek and the torsion arm holding the right wheel broke off......so I have decided to keep the tank and repair it myself, so I got I touch with welsh dragon and after a quick chat decided to pick up the Henntek torsion adjustors for the Asiatam....

http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/henn ... 1651-p.asp

Well I got it this morning and have take all day out to fit it, the initial install was very quick once I got my head on right but the problems started when I started to do a test run as I found the idler wheels where rubbing with the adjacent road wheel and causeing the tank not to run right.....

Any ideas ???

If need be guys photos could be added

Hi Sangu1n1us,

it would be very helpful if you could post a photo from your problem. Could it be, that your chains are too short?

Image

as you can see because of how i have installed it so far and that the idler is free moving i now get it so that the idler and the next wheel rub together.

i know i am missing somthing, like some what to fix the idler in place ??? but seen as i am a noob at this iv come to you guys for help

Hey Sangu ...........

It is not easy to tell , but I would say from the photo showing the side view of the tracks , they seem to be "tight" , the rear support drive wheel is
touching the rear idler .... perhaps adding a few links may be a solution .

the tank is on it's side mucca...that is why it looks tight...but the track have a good amount of give in them

hmmm
can you take a picture from behind the tank please.
something is amiss, i've got about a 5mm gap on mine
but it is standard.
my kt has a henntec one, which looks very similar & fitted no probs

Right guys crisis over....I found where I went wrong....like a total noob I had over looked the grubbed screws that hold the idler axel ( in my defence I was tired when I did it )...the way found out that I had missed them was this forum post...http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... =38&t=8460 it was a huge help and would recommend it to anyone adding a Henntec torsion adjuster system.

Well...she's up and running now I can open a new thread on me modding the hell out of it :)
