Hi all, I would like to say I'm new to the hobby, but I'm not even in the tank owners group yet
I have been interested in tanks for far to long (and played WOT for to long too) and two weeks ago started looking at build you own tank kits but there is so little information I felt a bit excluded.

Welcome to the forum dude,
If you want to build your own kit, try the Trumpter series of tanks, you'll still have to RC it. My suggestion, if you got the funds, do a Tamiya kit, the complete package less radio. Just my thoughts. Take care, do some research and once again to the forum...

Thank you two for the worm welcome.
Would love a Tamiya but the money required is something out of my league (for now).

Badger welcome to the forum, Might I suggest that if you want to build your own Tank, rather than spend a lot of money on a Tamiya you buy a Heng Long, any one you like and then using the approved vendors site you upgrade over a period of time, this way you will build a Tank that is to your satisfaction and whilst it may in total have cost as much as the Tamiya because you have phased it over months rather than days it becomes affordable. You will have questions, we have most of the answers. shaun

thank you very much for your advice, Jarndice and Lister. I might do as you advise and start with a Heng Long panther type G and then mod the tank to tank hell and back

Will lock into what are the basic upgrades for a HL.
