Does anyone know if the new gearboxes from Heng Long / Waltersons (the specific model for the new HL Sherman) can be installed in Mato Sherman? My Mato metal gearbox (Tiger 1 model) just burn some minutes ago.

See if Freakydude will reply to you he has them. He is supposed to working on some solution for My Taigen Tiger, but have not heard back from him for last 2 weeks. Do have a friend who works on these who says he can do them if interested. Says the Gearbox is the best.

hitman the solution is complete I am just waiting to get a production run of plates done. I'll send you a mail when I get them, I could have done one or two but I don't think people would pay the set up fees for the machining

I'm struggling to fit metal gears to my mato Shermans and just came across your post.Any help in finding the solution would be appreciated

Here you go Gents.... FredtheFrench found that metal HL gears fit perfectly into the Mato boxes

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...Did I mention FredtheFrench was able to fit metal Heng Long gears into the Mato Boxes

Yup...No Worries...like I stated to Cfred...ask and they will come ... Though I must say FredtheFrench's method is very economical and only requires that you open the Mato boxes
