Any shows/meets near Sheffield?

Hi people,
Are there any tank shows/meets in Sheffield or surrounding areas? Me and my uncle would love to go

Probably nearest club is in Hyde, Manchester. If you use the A628 it shouldn't be to bad from Sheffield as long as road isn't closed due to the weather.

It's where I go, and although 100+ miles round trip for me it is well worth the trek. It's on every 3rd Sunday of the month and costs £5 if you run your tank, no cost for spectators.

There is also event city 2 and 3rd March in Manchester which is a massive in door show where some of the Hyde club are putting on a display. If you PM "The Tank Man" he'll have more details on that.

The one that's every 3rd Sunday are there any rules like do you need a certain number of xtals? Also is there plenty of room for beginners lol. I'm scared I'll endup hurting someone's tank lol

LOL no there is no rules apart from having fun.

Crystals can some times be A problem if there is a lot of Heng long tanks but there is a peg board to stop people using same frequency etc. plus I normally bring some spare crystals as most people's tanks are on 1 or 2.

We sometimes have IR battles which when you've tried once you be hooked.

Plus feb is the clubs 1st anniversary so should be a good day.

Forgot to mention it is a large indoor play area with heating and electric to charge batteries and is pretty much all day 10 to 5.

Yes , please come along we would welcome you with with open arms and don't bother about being a beginner we all have to start somewhere .If you can't make it on the 17th come along to Event City Exhibition on the 1&2nd march where you will see the lads in action and have a chat .
