Sturmgeschütz III

Hey Guys,,

I have slowly been working on my Stug III, here is the work I have done and plan to do!

It now runs off of the cheapest hobby radio you can get a 4 channel GWS from the Robot Market place!

The DBCRC2 allows me to run this or any hobby radio now! I do not recommend this Radio, spend a few extra bucks, but for me it will have to do for now!

I have also taken advantage of the DBCRC2 by adding the IR Battle components Tamiya compatible!

Next the top roller wheel mods, but I jst kind of eye balled them because I have all metal that I want to install at some point!

Metal tracks very nice from RCCommand,

Plastic gearbox I will go with metal and new 8 tooth pinion, when I go all metal suspension!

Ok the paint job, camo and weathering,,, still a work in progress, but for my first effort, I am happy with it!

I took it up to Merles house and he gave me some good feedback on some camo additions and I think I will give a few of his

Ideas a try! It always helps to get a second opinion at least it does for me!

Looking good!
I did tip you off on the $40 special offer on the spektrum Dx5e's from that site (admittedly the BR6000 Rx was $50 extra) sadly they're now $72 + receiver  >:(

Email received ;D
I have a few more tests to run, but it looks like things are not working out  :(

On the subject of gun implacements, we need to figure out how to drive a static turret via a wire with all those surplus non S&S / Matorro transmitters!

Email sent! :)

Hello Blitz,
I was wondering what the silver color paint was you first shot you tank with.Looks like it was hammerite out of a rattle can.??

Looks really good, nice job.
I like the touch of the silver on the barrel representing the wear on the paint from the guns recoil.

Was the bridge in the photo's scratch built? if so nice job, would like to see more pics if poss

:D

Basically Bigmig yes, it is Its a Rust-Oleum paint called Hammered, used for a metal hammered finish!

Thanks Tony,

I am really looking forward to battling this tank, I fully plan on it being a sniper suport for a King Tiger / Elefant or other troops that want to charge ahead!
