Elmod to be or not to be......

Guys, I have a HL tiger1, upgraded with lots of metal stuff. Now, after spending a lot of cash on this project don't want the stock HL electronics (RX18 2.4ghz) to let it down so to speak.
My question is should I go the full hog and buy the El Mod systems........... Got some cash for Xmas so could invest. What do you reckon is it worth the investment????? Or are there any other recommendations.
Gary

Hi Gary I don't have elmod but there are some other options available which are cheaper offer good features etc.
Clark TK series board this is probably cheapest uses the HL wiring so quite easy install.
Taipan by RC Tank Australia this isn't quite out yet but offers loads of features including customable sounds.
DBC3 and bendini sound card. This still uses the HL RX18 but adds extra features and great sound.
SLU this is what use to be in hooben tanks. The sounds are fixed but are loud and good.
There might be more but those are ones I know about. I run both the Clark tk20 and dbc3 setups in a few of my tanks and happy with them.

I can't help but I have been wondering the same for my tiger, I found the elmod site but I have no idea where you get the other systems from?! If you go for the elmod sound board do you need to have the main control board too? Any help would be appreciated

Well, I've decided to go down the Clark TK20 board route now. Cheap, sounds are great, and plug and play only time will tell on that though.
Just waiting arrival from over the pond as we speak, ill post update from a novice perspective when the stuff arrives if its of interest.

That would be very helpfull and interesting to see how much better it is than the standard electronics, the guy at immortal hobbies that distribute the Clark board sorted me out a 'dragon atrc' circuit, he was really helpfull and nice so that made me think il go for the Clark board from them if its any good

Gary, if you get a Clark board you will not need the dragon ATRC unit as the Clark doesn't do the silly track recoil.
