For the North American crowd I already have some in stock. although everything I got is already sold I will be getting more shipments long before matomart. HL really built a nice one this time. yes there are some small issues but overall it is a good tank with great possibilities.
For all you Brits the Challenger is coming, I have seen pics of it already.

Fireflies were conversions of M4A2 (Firefly IC) or M4A4 (Firefly VC), not M4A3 models. I'm also not aware that any big hatch M4A2 hulls were used.
So, possible, but an awful lot of work.
Why are the manufacturers so fixated with the M4A3 large hatch Sherman ?
Adrian.

There is quite a number of changes for the conversion........ I have been trying to figure out what needed to be done at a MINIMUM:
1. Commanders hatch need to be replaced, possibily by the loader's hatch from the Mato Sherman
2. Loader's hatch is a rectangle shape, not square oval.
3. Driver and "old" gunner hatches need to be rotated and moved out, creating the double hump on the hull
4. Close out of the Hull MG
5. Extra Radio equipment on the back of the turret.
6. Engine grill, I believe A3 is gasoline and the firefly is diesel.
7. Mantlet is slightly different but I think you can work on the stock HL one and go from there
8. 17 Pdr is available from Impact
That should give you a reasonable facsimille of Firefly VC........ My other option would have been the super rare M36B1 Jackson which requires a kit and not much hull changes.
