Hi another newbie, looking into starting this hobby from rc airplanes. just looking around, I'm retired USAF CMSGT and trying to keep my self out of trouble. Any good advise or ideas would help. Are there catologs or where do you find tanks and parts to buy? What is the most popular scale to start with? Thanks alot

Hi Maxwell
Welcome to the forum.
1:16 is a good size to start
I'd suggest a nice cheap
Heng long tank to start with.
They come ready to run
With plenty of upgrades
Available if you decide
It's the hobby for you.
Check out the recommended vendors
Section on this forum.
Good luck & have fun.
Lister
Oh & have a peek at the blacklisted
Ones aswell!

Hallo Maxwell, Everything Lister has told you is spot on BUT when you buy your first tank be warned, you will find yourself teetering on the edge of the known universe about to fall into the most engrossing and rewarding interest that money can buy. Oh just in passing you may want to take out a second mortgage, this place is full of people who just want to help you, just ask, by the way welcome.
