Taigen upper hull with metal turret and flash recoil

HI
About a week ago I asked for some info on a metal turret for a HL Tiger 1. It was suggest that the Taigen upper hull with metal turret with flash recoil would fit. Checking with Welsh Dragon it was confirmed. Now a couple of questions to those familiar with this unit. How is the Taigen for scale and detail. Is the turret the right shape or does it need to be modified. Is the mantlet, bin, etc. proper and scale for an early Tiger 1. Will the turret need to be moved forward or is it in the right place. Is the cannon off set on the mantel.
Any info would be appreciated. I thought if it was scale and had a lot more detail than the HL it would be cheaper than buying all the parts seperately and then having to cut and move the turret. Plus I didn't look forward to having to remodify the shape of the turret on the Heng Long. I wish to have a fairly scale Tiger. Thank you very much in advance. Again any advise would be greatly appreciated. Brian
ps Merry Christmas to all of you

I'm surprised there have been no replies yet, and I hope I can help. I recently got a Taigen Tiger I and it is a fantastic model and everything [seems] to scale.

From what I can gather from the on-line photos and info the metal HL Tiger simply replicates the original design with a few improvements, i.e. opening front hatches. I would be very surprised if the turret has been corrected. So I suspect it has the old faults including turret ring too far forward, centrally aligned gun rather than off-set and turret bin the wrong shape. If I'm right and you want these things corrected then the metal turret will obviously make the job an awful lot harder...
