Been considering changing the I.R. emitter L.E.D. from the cheapo 'shotgun' effect ones normally fitted to a more concentrated narrow beam type ? - Here are a few options

Linky ; -
http://www.pacer.co.uk/products/leds/irleds/ . . . One small hitch - does anyone know the wavelength(s) used in our systems ? (it seems 3 bands are available )

Hi Blimp
Only repeating what I've heard other say but HL 880nm, Tamiya 940nm. Although I'm unclear to what differnece the wavelength makes, I mean people who have the MAKO board fitted allows the HL 880nm parts work with the Tamiya 940nm parts and vice versa.

Thanks guys , It was the HL one I was in the dark about . The Tammy ones apparently have quite a broad spectrum , which if true is a bit odd . . . . Time to shop . Muhaha .

If it helps when we did range testing the Clark TK20E boards we found the Maplins YH70M to work well with Tamiya and Impact receivers.
