There is no easy way other than a really sharp cutter. I had thoughts about it but the mould is such that there really isn't a very clean line to cut, and after you cut it you will have to somehow come up with the little ledge all along the side. I like the Super Pershing without the side skirt look but ended up just modding the barrel to its correct length.

First pry off all the ammo boxes from the fenders. If your doing a Korean war model they can be replaced after cutting off the skirts. If your doing a WW2 version Just leave them off as they werent stored that way. On my HL's I just take a thin hot knive from and put it in my woodburnings souldering pencils knive holder and score a shallow line along the mold mark in the fender top were the mold mark is then use a razer saw to hand cut it thru. Vey little touch up of the edge needs to be done other then a little sanding and if you want to detail the edge you con drill some small holes into the outside edge that match the bolt head locations on the skirt or parts of skirt you remove you removed.
If your doing a korean war version and want the fender mounted ammo boxes don't forget to add some thin styrene straps that will appear to be holding them on the fender tops by being welded to the storage box sides.
