Hi, I'm software developer writing software for running tank battles.
Anyone ever tried to run RC-battles computer-assisted? I've a whole collection of 1/48 (static) scale tanks for which I wrote a computer-assisted wargame, Panzer Combat II.
Recently, I got the idea to adapt the game to RC battles. Panzer Combat II is already real-time : the computer starts firing at your tank if you're not quick enough. However RC battles are quite different from the static ones. And an additional problem is the hardware : the computer needs real-time images in order to handle shots, so a wireless camera must be mounted on the tank turret.
By joining RC Tank Warfare I hope to gather some idea's before developing the game.
