Some pic's from my 1995 visit to Chino, California for a Warbird nut like me utopia. While this was along time ago i still
to this day remember it well. All the famous planes that you had read about made models of where there, an amazing
place to visit. I was allowed to wonder around where ever I liked very friendly and like minded people all happy to have
a chat and answer questions. I spent most of the day there one walk around taking stills and second walk around with
the video.I did ask many times but no objection to photos and video, wonder since 9/11 if you can still wander around
somehow I doubt it but hope I am wrong!
Will always have a soft spot for the Texan, AT6, SNJ for me this machine will always be the Harvard.
This Dauntless has a downunder connection, flew around 30 combat missions as an RNZAF aircraft.
Corsair, bent wing bird or whistling death.
Japanese fighters very rare Raiden and airworthy Zero.
Japanese and German rocket powered Komets.
Powered by the British Merlin engine, a Buchon Messerschmitt.
[
Genuine German Jets.
P38 Lightning.
Mustang and a Hellcat getting an engine fitted while I was there.
B17 with all the turrets and .50s fitted even had fake ammo.
Nice civil marked Bearcat.
All time fav aircraft of theera P40 Kittyhawk, this machine flew while I was there which was a treat.
Another B17, this one you could walk through and some medium American twins, one as an enemy!
