Yes, neither would I since I switched to 1/8 & 1/6 scales either !!!

When I had the 1/16 Tamiya tanks I would spend around £250-£300 on getting them looking O.K. for me

No money for RVs. Spent it all on tanks. Would like a full scale sdkfz 222 for the commute to work. Have enough project now to keep me occupied for about 20 years. Maybe room for a king tiger. :S

Well, my old Tamiya KT was the most expensive one I bought, cost me £635.00 for the model itself.

Once the upgrades (never changed the motors/gearboxes etc, all cosmetic - i.e. barrel, muzzle break, hull/turret detail parts etc.) were on, I worked her out to be worth £895.00, so that worked out to £230.00 8|

However, as with any hobby, your price is dictated by what you want to do with your model, with me it was a case of fine detail v practicality of running an R/C model (or not to many fiddly bits to get snapped off when whizzing through the bushes etc !!! )
