are all the parts in the new steel gearboxes, interchangeable with the old metal/plastic boxes,can you buy just the new steel gears, if so you could refurbish your old boxes and save a few quid to spend on other parts.

As far as i know it is the same design for plastic, steel, black metal. So yes parts should be interchangeable. But if your on a budget and only after a part to do repair why not post in the wanted section as I'm sure plenty of members have old gearboxes after upgrading.

not looking for spares/already got a collection of plastic/metal/short and long shaft boxes,i will get in touch with Dave and see if he can just supply the black metal gears. thanks for your time. Tankbear
