Heng Long Rx Crystal

I recently retired, and when I started to unpack my inventory of models and modeling parts, I found I owned a 1/16 Heng Long Tiger I, already built but with no RC Transmitter. I bought a HL transmitter from ebay, and it came with Rx and Tx 27.195 crystals. The Heng Long that I have has a decal stating 27.145. Although I have some experience with Tamiya 1/16 Tanks, I have absolutely none with HL. Can somebody help me determine how can I change the tank's RX crystal? What do I need to disassemble? or the other option, where can I buy a 27.145 Tx crystal?

The crystals are installed on the receiver board of the tank. designed to be removable from the bottom of the Tank inside the battery compartment? The crystal should have the banner with the frequency on it.


As far as where to buy, you location would help to reccomand a vender, also the Tigers Age is an issue,is it a smoke and sound version?

If so it should have the RX18 control board.

I'm not sure about the Tiger I or which version (non-Super/Super) of HL tank you have, but try opening the bottom battery compartment & looking for the current Rx inserted in there somewhere. Should be easy to pull out & then insert the new one.

Actually I had to think about this one,my Tiger has the Asiatam Hull and I did not recall,the picture is always the best advice.
