Hi painkiler

Is it a case the torro is wired differently to the HL?

Also when you install the Asiatam or Taigen recoil you have to add an extra wire to the battery negative could it be something like that?

Have your tried connecting to a battery to verify the motor is working ok.

You might be able to do it whilst in the turret. Just unplug the hull top from the base to stop any voltage going back to the electronics and causing damage.

Find which two wires feed the motor and add battery supply. I have some crocodile clips which make it easy but can use a few short bits of wire also.

Hi Painkiller

Have you tried the motor in both directions? these recoils if the motor turns wrong way just turns but doesn't make it work backwards.

Also does the gun barrel pull in and out freely or does it feel stuck. If stuck try powering the motor like before and moving the gun barrel in and out with a little hand pull pressure to see if that frees it up.

Failing all that contact the seller saying the recoil doesn't work and see if can be exchanged or if your feeling capable ask if they are ok with you taking to bits to try fix it. That way if you can't repair it you got the oppertunity to send back for a replacement.

Ian.

hi ian,i cant make this out, there is a switch on top like you would have if firing bb pellets, there was a spring missing,i have fixed this, but now when you turn it on the motor just spins constantly ,so the gun would just keep recoiling untill you turn off the switch,is there any way you can think of to get round this.thanks for all your help

That sounds correct. When you push left thumb stick up it powers the motor when you release it, it stops. Just like with a bb version you keep it pushed up until it fires out a bb.

The switch in the turret turns off the recoil. Only reason why you want to I can think of it stops the firing of IR. When I've added recoils into airsoft tanks I normally bypass the switch.
