Hi,

I'm considering going next year, I read somwhere the date is june 29th and 30th.

Can anyone recommend a good place to stay, preferably with easy commuting to the museum.
Also, I might bring my wife and kid so I need a place with enough shops to keep my wife busy for two days

Oh and i live in Norway so I dont know which airport to travel to either

Hi, Found on there website good link to local recommended hotel's and b&b's by bovington themselves, as for flights i'd say heathrow is closest, being west of london.
And travel from heathrow would be easy and cheap, national express operate from airport itself, straight to bournemouth which is east of tank musum.
Or hire a car it take couple hours down m3 motorway.
If need any other help shout me, i drive all over country for living, and do alot work down sw uk.

I have stayed at the castle inn myself on previous visits, is very nice and is only around 8 miles away from bovington tank museum.
And as for keeping missus happy, bournemouth has great beaches seafront and plenty shops to keep her amused.
