I pay tribute to your wonderful work every time. By the way, let me ask some elementary questions. Why are you trying to match HL's upper hull with TAMIYA's lower hull even though you have a TAMIYA display model? It seems easier for me to use TAMIYA's upper hull. Is it because you've been doing great detailing on HL upper hull so you can't turn back(it takes more work)?

Thank you sir!

Why you ask; you are correct I have far too much time and effort in the work on the Heng Long hull and turret to start over.

Had the Tamiya kit been available when I started this back in January 2016 I would have likely used it as the the starting point.

I was going to suggest that you relocate the receiver to the other side of the speaker box to give you a bit more room for the clark to "breath". Some new RX wires or some short extensions.
Originally I was going to suggest mounting on top of the sponson floor on the lower hull, but remembered that there really are no side hull sponsons on the Abrams..
Jarlath,

After another fit check of the turret ring gear and the Deck Lift fitting I will have to relocate the Receiver after all, it just too tall and I've lowered it all I can. :(
I'm going to move it forward of the speaker and will have to use cable extensions because I do not want to have to terminate all the connectors to the TK60.

I'm not far now from where I was before electing to switch to the Tamiya Chassis.

Oh dear, better not give up the day job Barry ;)

Wow, 100 K views, congratulations

Is that right, only two return rollers per side?

This is my day job. :haha: But you're right, it was pretty lame. :)

Who would have thought I could have made such a simple build last long enough to get 100K views. ;) I am truly appreciative of all who have stopped in and more so to those who have taken their time to comment and assist.

Yes sir, only two rollers per side. The HL lower has only two but the forward one supports the track outboard of the guide tooth. In reality the Tamiya configuration is correct with both inboard of the guide tooth.

I hope to post more pics of the completed conversion to the Tamiya lower by next weekend.

I am a live! WOW, wife and I both have been fighting "the virus". Starting the last week in June until now we have been struggling with the virus. Fever, cough, shortness of breath and just generally feeling about as lousy as I've ever felt! :( But we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are feeling much, much better, praise the Lord! :)

I have managed to get back to work on the tank over the last several days and making progress.

I hope to have that update I spoke about nearly 6 weeks ago, soon.

Cheers
Barry
